Control is a fairytale of loss and victory in a city that offers isolation and abundance in extremes. The sophomore EP from Iranian polymath AZADI.mp3 (a producer, singer, songwriter, DJ and actor) builds on the pop sensibility, experimental production style and high camp theatricality of their NTS-released debut project Summer In The Crypt. Control strips back layers of bravado, personas crafted and discarded to reveal raw emotion and a deep melancholy; frenetically spanning post-punk and dance music influences to establish AZADI.mp3 as a genre-flitting tour de force.
