Luz luz luz!

"Luz luz luz! [Light light light!] emerges from the urgency to create noise, to shout into the void hoping to generate an echo, to tear at a guitar until it becomes part of your skin, and to never settle for silence. This punk duo formed by the artists and collaborators Clothing and Emiliano Cruz seeks to confront the overwhelming emotions and thoughts that we ignore but traverse within ourselves, casting doubt on everyday life and the fragility of the human psyche. It is a simple and raw project: voice and electric guitar. It consists of an experiment, the fusion of prose turned into screams by Clothing and the sharp rhythms of Emiliano Cruz's guitar both exploring the limits of range and dynamics of sound. A large part of Luz luz luz! Can only be experienced live on stage, exercising improvisation within the boundaries set by the two elements of the band.

The project started in October 2022 and has been since raising both ears and brows inside Mexico City's underground music scene. Both members were part of the band Yaf Swamy and often present their respective projects in Mexico, however Luz luz luz! ́s live performances are scarce because they ́re special, cathartic and full of energy.

Their debut homonymous album has had a limited physical release in cassettes in collaboration with the production house Afasia based in Guadalajara. It is an auditory experience that mutates and transforms between tracks in an encapsulating manner with the intention of being listened to continuously. The work resembles a frail and life-threatening vehicle— if you don't hold on tightly, you will fly out."
